And boy did it look like we were going to rained out, but I guess luck was on MY side, because we got these amazing moody skies instead. And I'm totally ok with the sky having personality. It matches my rad couples. Elle and Michael met me in New Paltz and we drove around my favorite back roads chasing light and laughing, letting their crazy cute dog out of the car, here and there, to totally steal the show, and strolling through the apple blossoms. Enjoy this gorgeous mountain engagement session in New Paltz, NY!Read More
When you find out that your couple had a soul bonding experience at Burning Man in the first few months of dating, if you're anything like me, you do a happy dance! Brett and Talia were leaving Brooklyn last Thursday to come to Hudson, NY for a dress fitting so we scheduled their Connection Session for the same day. I am quite fond of Hudson and a little biased as I got married at the Basilica Hudson in 2014. The magnificent brick building sits on the very edge of town, in a seemingly forgotten area that houses broken down trailers, old industrial buildings long ago abandoned, several non-working railroad tracks, and it's eye candy everywhere!Read More
Upstate NY Vineyard Wedding Venue
This Red Maple Vineyard Wedding had a little bit of everything! An elegant bride, a handsome groom, an outdoor ceremony spot with a view of the Hudson River, a wedding venue that is also a vineyard, secret gardens, moody rain clouds, horses, tree-lined streets, romantic vibes, DIY reception details, super cute flower girls in lavender crowns, adorable ring bearer, grandmother's on the dance floor, an airstream photo booth, a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and a killer dance party! Red Maple Vineyard weddings are truly the best. As a premier Hudson Valley wedding venue, they sure know how to throw an amazing party.
Shinglekill Falls, New York
This BoHo Catskills NY Wedding at the beautiful Shinglekill Falls Bed and Breakfast had everything: A Pagan + Buddhist Ceremony led by an Episcopalian Minister with a singing bowl and amethyst crystals, a barefoot bride in a BHLDN dress, a white unicorn, a waterfall, outdoor Jenga, guests dressed as flappers, a DIY Photobooth with a big moon, unicorn wedding cake toppers, and a bride and groom who jumped into the waterfall with their clothes on at the end of the night. Epic.
Hudson River Engagement Photos with Husky Dogs
There is something really magical about Hudson Valley Engagement Sessions, or as I like to call them, Connection Sessions. Watching two people enjoy a couple hours together, with no phones, no distractions, and beautiful views... it's hard to not enjoy it.
This particular spot in Cold Spring, NY is off the beaten path. It truly has it all. The forest path eventually opens up to a sandy beach at the edge of the Hudson River, with overgrown patches of grass, fallen trees, branches that have beaten by the river and turned to driftwood, and big open skies as far as the eye can see. Every once in a while, a boat comes by reminding you how remote you really are.Read More
